Khayelitsha- Visa #MyEverywhere
In early June 2015, a friend and I, shot a 31-second video for the Visa #MyEverywhere competition. The competition was part of Visa's campaign to celebrate the best South Africa has to offer, and entrants had to share a video of an interesting location in eithere Cape Town, Pretoria or Johannesburg on social media. The spot had to be regarded as least touristy.
Our video was about discovering beauty and culture in the Khayelitsha. From the stunning views at Lookout Hill to the friendly street vendors and welcoming locals, the video captured the best the township has to offer. We were excited to be hear that we had won the weekly prize of R1000 from Visa.
I am aware that the video does not count as part of my proffessional work, but it exhibits my thirst for creating and sharing. Thank you for watching.
