Man To Man Talk

On 31 August 2018, I (Athenkosi Matyalana), Andile Jamary, Smangaliso Mkuyana and Sibusiso Molefe visited Funda SSS, Ekuphumleni SSS, Nompulelelo SSS and Zolani SSS in Whittlesea for a young man to man session neboyz about issues like business, violence against women, drug abuse and crime. Amazing what you can learn when you give people a platform to speak. The dialogue was eye-opening and thought provoking. The nice part was that even the kids accepted that we as men are the problem. No one has the answers. Sifunda sonke. Let's hope will be better men.

On 1 September 2018, we had a man to man talk namagrootman at Ekuphumleni Hall, Whittlesea. It was a bit delayed but men came through. We touched on women abuse, rape, business, fatherhood and moral regeneration. It was an intimate and safe space. We couldn't record it because we allowed people to share personal experiences without any worries. Eye-opening, provocative and just powerful. A seed has been planted in Whittlesea. We're starting small.
